First of all your nephew and niece are adorable. I like their poses, face expressions and shallow DoF. If I would want to improve these pics, I would brighten up their faces a bit and also think about composition and subject placement in the frame. I noticed that you like to place your subject in the middle. I suggest to try to use the rule of third.
Also the third photo is obviously overexposed. Her hat is completely blown out.

As you know its very difficult job to take kids photo, and you forget settings and rules very often. It was freezing cold outside in minus.
I need to improve…

A couple of happy kids! So nice to see
smiles – and yes, I agree that the last pic
is a great close-up with a wonderful expression.
I would also use rule of thirds to make these pics
even better.
