Tonight my son had his first night out with his very first friend his age. They went to Peter Piper Pizza. I tried to get some good shots but the lighting was horrible and my camera has horrible grain even with 800 ISO plus my shutter speed was low. Plus it was hard to catch them. So since all my pics turned out bad I edited them with Picassa. I just downloaded it since I don’t have Lightroom yet. I like this one cause I found an opportunity for to frame them. It was with my 50mm Canon. Settings 1/25, 2.8, and 800. Soon I’m going to try out to see how much worse the ISO 1600 is so I can use a faster shutter speed. I just didn’t want to loose them in the frame…

Ohhhh dear…. and it is such a long way to Christmas.

It is an interesting shot.  Perhaps a future Mars mission.

Was the lack of color, except for your son, a Picassa adjustment?

You haven’t mentioned trying to use the flash.  Give it a shot.

LOL. Yea I need to give flash a try more. I did use the Picassa adjustment to change the color. Here is another one that was way underexposed and grainy so I also made it black and white with a little color. It was at 1.8, ISO 1600, and 1/50 no flash … back in a dark corner of Peter Piper. My son is the most sharing person ever. He was trying to give his air hockey puck to a little girl lol.IMG_1655.JPG

This is very cute.  I love the expression on his face.

You might want to crop the black object on the right.  It doesn’t add anything to the photo.

I have an 18 month old granddaughter who is always giving me things.

Exactly two seconds after I take it she demands it back.

Melissa

That pic of your son and the little girl is

great! Pretty clean @ ISO 1600 using a

“tired” old camera. The first thing I noticed

was his eyes and that’s exactly where I wanted

my attention to be drawn to!

I think you did a fine job under the circumstances.

Could you please share this photo in color and B&W only. I am not sure about this color and B&W mix effect ;)

Haha sorry if that bothered you. I was just playing around with that Picassa for the first time. Actually I’d like to delete my account because I don’t think this is the right forum for me, but I’m not finding an option anywhere under profile or account settings. Please let me know how! Thank you! And thanks again for all the wonderful videos! :)

It doesn’t really bother me. I just wanted to see how it looks in color and B&W and see which one I like better. I am sorry to hear that you don’t think that our forum is right for you. May I ask why? I can delete your account, if you want.
