Thanks Oksana.  I should do some guitar poses myself, and get Julianna to take the picture. A true Daddy/Daughter moment

My Mom took a great picture of me when I was 16 with one of my guitars.  I should scan it in to share.

I’m sure we’d all love to see you at 16.  Do it.

I’m going out on a bit of a limb here, but I’m going to say this is Albion Falls, Upper King’s Forest Park in Hamilton.
A rather dangerous place to be if your not careful.  The “Steep Drop” has indeed proven to be deadly.

Julianna is standing next to a very old milling stone.  In case you can’t read the plaque, it says that “This milling stone is all that remains of Albion Mills. The first mill, built about 1795 by WM Davis, contributed to the area’s economic development. Settlers came and the land was cleared. Many of their early homes are within a short walking distance of this stone, and still occupied by their descendants.”

More about the falls, including a movie, to be found here.

As you may have noticed, or not, I haven’t posted anything new in a couple weeks.  Well as it turns out I went for surgery to remove a lump that maybe cancer (but maybe not, and that is what I am going with).  Because of this, I haven’t been particularly mobile, and because that, no pictures.

I did a roll yesterday and developed it today, but all of the pictures run into each other, which means that the gears in the Voigtlander are slipping and the film isn’t advancing when I turn the dial.  So I am going to be taking it in for a CLR and it might take a couple of weeks before I get the camera back.  By then I will be about a month behind.  I will continue my roll-a-week series at that time.

Brian
I know that I speak for all of us when I say that we are pulling for you to get
through this and come out with a clean bill of health!!!
You obviously have a great, positive attitude and that is as they say “half the battle”.
Great pictures – as always. Mandrake the sleuth seems to know as much about where
you live as you do – kind of scary eh!
Keep us informed of your progress…and remember – we’re all rooting for you to be healthy!!!

Brian… let me add my sincere best wishes for all to be good, both for you and the Voigtlander.
We’re all anxiously awaiting more great shots of Hamilton and your family.
Be well… Mandrake.

Thank you all.  Very very much appreciated.

Anyway, here is what I could salvage from the Week 21 Roll

Taking the Voigtlander in for a tune up.  Back in couple weeks for the Roll-A-Week project

Hey Brian… Glad you were able to salvage a few.
Here, the cemetery is the Barton Stone United Church Cemetery at the southwest corner of Upper James and Stone Church Roads.
I’ve no idea where the automobile is located or who it might belong to.  Is it yours, Brian?  If so, it’s needs a bit of work.

You are correct.  It is the stone church on Stonechurch.

The old car is on the lawn of the neighbour of my wife’s parents.  It is not mine, and it does need a lot of work.  I like to think it is a starter kit for a rust collection.

Brian
I think you can tell that we are not going to accept you being anything but healthy!!!
At least Mandrake didn’t get the owner of the automobile correct – good thing there
wasn’t a partial plate # visible. Somehow he would have tracked it down correctly if that
had been the case lol!!!
Again – If you’re not the picture of health right now – get healthy.
If you are healthy then STAY HEALTHY.

No real hints in this group except for the signless images themselves.
Well the last, I would have to assume, was taken at Brian’s residence.
The rest, numbers one through four, were shot at Hamilton’s Battlefield Park.

Good job, you are of course, right again on all fronts.  If I ever lose my keys, you will be the first one I ask.

Great set of images, Brian! My favorites are #2 – the ladies on the bench and #5 – the cat.

#2 I like the angle. Where you kid of low? Great leading lines, which takes you into the image. People in the photo also make it more interesting. I also like that it is almost symmetrical. Good placement of the subjects in the rule of thirds.

#5 Make me wander what he is up to? His body language looks like he is about to attack.
