OK… These were a little harder than they first looked.
1.. Is the Hamilton City Centre, a shopping center located at 77 James Street N.
The shot was taken from the intersection of York Blvd and Macnab St. N.
2.. The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Hamilton Chapter, located at 94 Cannon St. W at the intersection of Bay St. N. You got a picture of a guy taking a picture.
3.. 98 Vine Street. This was a bit difficult as the Google Street View does not show this new sign on the building. The location used to be an Auto and Supply firm, but is now Wise & Hammer, a marketing firm.
4.. The Hamilton Farmer’s Market, corner of York and James Streets. It’s an all indoor market which is next to the library. It’s one o’clock.

You got them all right!!!
The 98 Vine Street used to be a car parts place, and my Dad worked there for 25 years. They closed down some time ago, and are now this marketing firm.
The guy taking pictures is my friend Phil who was composing on his Hassleblad (which he constantly teases me about). We are doing little photo walks at lunches.

Here is week 11 and week 12.
- Julianna and Romeo
- Julianna playing with my iPhone
- Julianna laughing at my jokes (or at me, not sure)
- Julianna sitting on her swing (which as you can see she has outgrown)
- The place where I got a hot towel shave
- The place beside the place where I got my hot towel shave

Brian… Julianna is certainly growing into a lovely young lady.
Have the boys started knocking at the door yet?
It’s not much of a challenge when the address is on the photo.. lol.
Here’s Google’s street view where they also provide time travel photos of the place.
Just click on the little clock in the top left and move the time slider.

Pictures of Julianna are very lovely. She looks very natural and happy. Love the picture of her on the swing.
Just a little advise. The rule of thumb in portrait photography. Do not crop the photo directly at the joints, which you did on 2 picture.
On #2 maybe she could have bend her leg to fit into that flame and on #3 maybe a bit tighter crop could work.
But inspire of that, I still think that those are very lovely pictures.
Keep up a good job! I love to see new photos every week!

Oksana, actually I didn’t crop, that was the entire shot. But next time I will stand a little further back to ensure I am not cutting off any limbs.
It seems I either cut off limbs, or having things coming out of peoples’ heads haha.
I am behind again because I went to Las Vegas this past week (to meet Guns N’ Roses, but that is another story). I took lots of film shots with my other medium format camera, and all in colour. Tomorrow I am going to develop a roll (for the project) that I took today at a friend’s bbq.
Mandrake. No boys have come to the door. Julianna is still only 9 so boys are still a bit icky and have cooties.
And if you ever need a great hot towel shave, go to New York New York Mens lounge. Great stuff. I got ever few months when I need a shave (yeah I grow a beard for three months at a time, then get shaved).

Yes, it’s a good idea to get more than you really need in the frame before shooting.
You can then crop in post to get the best composition.
Brian… it must not be all that easy to get your images posted in the forum.
You must have to shoot them, develop them, print them and then scan them to get the digital file before posting.
A bit of work, nes’t-ce pas?. We appreciate your effort.

Having a negative scanner saves a LOT of money, time and effort. The one I have apparently has mediocre reviews as to its quality, but I am contended with it.
I don’t know. I’ve checked some reviews of the Epson Perfection V500 Photo Film Scanner and they were quite favorable.
I might consider getting one as I’ve hundreds of 35mm slides from the 1960’s which could be digitized.
For any who might be interested here is a review/tutorial for the scanner.

Sorry this took so long, but I’m away for a few days so had to research this with my iPad.
The first image, and I can only assume the others as well, was taken at Whitehern, the historic residence of the McQuesten family. It is located at 41 Jackson Street West in Hamilton.
To learn more, the web site is http://www.whitehern.ca

I give her some direction, but she often will say ‘daddy take a picture of me while i do this’ and she does strange poses. We have lots of fun even though she is very silly. Not sure where she gets that from haha
And the bench in this park does not have front legs. You might say it doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Except that it has back legs.
