A second attempt to post the pictures of Old Rotterdam, but now in two parts. These are photos of replicas that I made about 35 years ago. The photos show the normal life of about 1920 here in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
I digitized the negatives and put it on my laptop. Technically, the photos do not have phototechnical values. The pictures show more the atmosphere and circumstances in which the peoplle lived at that time. Look at the clothes they wear, the narrow streets. The woman with the basket sells Matchsticks, the men who work in the laundry. On youtube you can see a movie of Rotterdam in 1920:     Old-Rotterdam-010.jpgOld-Rotterdam-011.jpgOld-Rotterdam-012.jpgOld-Rotterdam-013.jpgOld-Rotterdam-014.jpghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..q-sWFtE-m8

Looking at these pics really makes me appreciate what I have today!

It must have been a hard life for people just trying to survive at the time these

pictures were taken.
