Fisherman’s Wharf – where seals dive and surface.
Early morning at the lower causeway showing one
of the tourist traps waiting for tourist $$$.
More pics of our harbour where many celebrities have
moored their mega yachts while visiting here.
Reflections from very early morning sun downtown Victoria and
an answer to Mandrake’s question “what does that sign represent
in that picture”? Hope this closeup answers that.

Hello Dale…
I love the address sign… I’m going out right now and turn mine sideways.
Image 7941 (or 7491 as you refer to it) is…………….. I can’t think of a polite way of saying it.
The sign… Canadian signs tell you what you can do rather than what you can not do?

Sometimes I think I suffer from dyslexia! Well, anyways the seal
was not interested in posing for cameras and left us with this
less than memorable vision!
Canadian signs sometimes take getting used to and we do get asked
what some of them mean sometimes. This sign tells people that you can
take a dog with you but keep it on a leash. You can bring rollerblades but
you can’t use them. Likewise with a skateboard. And, finally, don’t even think
about riding the bike you brought with you. One of the best signs I ever saw
around here read “slow down to 40 kph when children on road”! I guess that
means if you’re only doing 40 you probably won’t kill one but any faster and
it could be fatal. Wish I had a picture of that one!!!

I like the 7569 and 7804 most in all of them…
In 7569…as the water is still the reflection of sky is really good..
In 7804..the shine on that number “18O3” is amazing and the reflection of another building on the background blends properly…

That’s a great idea, Michael. For now I would think “Travel and Landscape” should suffice.
Our Canadian members might have an advantage, but that’s ok.

OK – So we should look for crazy, funny, interesting and
unusual signs…but elderly signs are off limits.
