This is my version on editing the picture.

There was some ….I don’t know what its called, but sun spots or flare from the sun in the sky above the “hill” just left to the center of the pic, that I thought was difficult to remove, do you have a good idea how to remove it ?

And would love some comments on my edit, good or bad :-)

Hello Daniel… A big welcome to you from our group.
I see you’ve started off with the weekly editing challenge.
It is a lot of fun and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Please… post and comment often.

The flare that you mention was a problem for me as well.
It became significantly more apparent during processing and may
have stopped you from doing more with the image than you had hoped.

After several attempts, I was able to sufficiently reduce it with
the spot removal brush in Lr5 and with some clean-up using the spot
healing brush and blur tool in Photoshop Elements. 

My result is the still less than perfect image below.

The eyes of the driver watching the road. Thoughts to zero, tap the miles away. The eyelids become heavier, fatigue strikes. And then suddenly wake up call and you stand by the side of the road.

VERY cool, Michael.
Might want to add some headlight effect, tail lights and a constellation or two.
Don’t hurry, I can wait.

But….”standing by the side of the road” and doing 72 mph doesn’t compute.

Hi Mandrake

Thanks for your comment. I like getting feedback …good and bad or ideas….so thanks :-) and yes the flare stopped me a little …I tried to fix it in LR5 but im still new to it …but I see you did a good job on your picture.

 

To mscharff – Just an idea…I think you should move the moon mare to the left, course the shadow from the car and the bushes in the right corner show the shadow from the sun coming from the left.
