I took a picture of my hand and then layered it in photoshop… also changed the curves and saturation.  But I guess I could have just taken a picture in front of the computer – although I think the quality of the picture would have suffered based on the screen resolution.  🙂

Yes, then I assume, you erased the screen of the phone so that the original layer of the beach showed through.
