It is a beautiful image, Al… and even better if seen at a higher resolution.
You should establish a flickr site to better present your work.

Congratulations on this photo.

Mandrake, Hello.. :-)

I was reading a comment you posted on someone else photograph where you were telling the person how to upload/link his photos from his Flickr account. And I thought, I should do the same. I think, I already have one, I’m going to see if I remember the password and user name. If not I’ll set up a new one. Thanks for the advice, I always appreciate your input..

Hi Mscharff,

yes, It is the Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8. This lens is part of a family of three lenses (24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 VR)

Pros.

Image quality is excellent. Good range from 14-24mm if using a full sensor camera. (Focal length changes if used with a crop sensor camera). large aperture thru the lens f2.8. Very fast in low light.

Cons,

Heavy, very expensive, you can not mount a Pol Filter on it. however, they sell adaptors you can mount around it and attach a filter.

I love it, I would recommend it. Just be aware of the cons, if you decide to get one. But for Landscape photography is excellent.

Love, Monkey

Love the reflection in water and lights in the image does the magic.

Very sharp and the composition is good.
