Jones Lake is an hour and 25 min. drive from Vancouver, BC and is located in Hope, British Columbia, Canada. Went this morning to shoot sunrise with friends hoping for an alpenglow but unfortunately it was an overcast morning :( Jones-Lake-Reflection.jpg

Erwin
Might have been an overcast morning but this is still a great shot!
Foreground really makes it work.

I’d not heard of alpenglow before so, I’ve learned something.
Always something to learn.

Mandrake
“Alpenglo” The rosy light of the rising or setting sun seen on high mountains. If you hang around
a bars late in the evening I think you could describe a lot of patrons faces as having an “alpenglow
appearance” lol.
First time I’ve heard of it too so I just had to look it up.
Dale.

This is such a great image Erwin! This foreground makes it look unreal. First I even thought you added it in Photoshop. Did you? Wink You also got some pretty clean reflection, but the foreground is that makes this image.

Thank you Dale. Overall, that early morning trip still worth it.

Circular polarizer really did its job on illuminating reflections on the water to be able too see through it.
