Another really nice image! What was wrong with your camera? Whatever it was, glad to hear
that you have it back and by the looks of this post and the others Nikon definitely solved the
problem.

Great shot Michael!
I really like the overall red tone and aged feeling.
I can’t imagine where you had to be to get the shot.
You obviously did not fall into the river.
Be careful, we would miss you.

Dale,

thanks… the D600 had an issue with the shutter putting dust and oil on the sensor… I didn’t really have a problem, but Nikon recalled all of them to replace the shutter, so I sent mine in.

There was quite a kerfuffle about Nikon really dragging their heels with this issue, add to that the uproar of them seeming to concentrate only the the D610 instead of fixing the existing D600 issues.

Glad you got it all sorted out for your camera though!  Nice to hear a happy story when it comes to customer support.

Glad you got Nikon to cough up for a new shutter! Don’t think they’re too charitable most
of the time but they need to be reminded that if they don’t provide a great and reliable
product…well…they aint the only game in town if you know what I mean.
Did they also renew the full warranty time with the replacement of the new shutter?
They should have.
Dale.
