Hello everybody, 
I am so glad to be one of this community of photography and I would like to share with you first photo from my Nikon D7100 camera.

Great picture… really like the B&W… my only piece of advice is that perhaps a larger depth of field would have been better as it looks like his chin is in focus and his eyes and forehead are not…

I like this portrait very much and would be interested in which lens and settings you used for the shot.

Very nice portrait. B&W does work very well for this image. I do agree with mscharff about DoF.

Thanks Mandrake …. Regarding of the lens and settings I used is below :

Lens : Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM

Aperture : F/1.8

Shutter Speed : 1/160

ISO : 100

Focal Length : 35mm (52.5mm equivalent in DX)

B&W editing via Adobe Lightroom 5

Thanks for the information about the settings.
F/1.8, as you know, gives very shallow depth of field.
Actually, I think you got away with this one, but I’d try some
with smaller aperture openings to see how you feel about it.
The 7100 can take much higher ISO settings without problems.

(btw – If you do your returns with Shift-Enter you won’t get the double spacing.)
