I’ve been working with models much more often now, it’s a very safe and relaxing experience to work ideas out from your head.

This was taken in the evening, complete sundown.

Canon 6d with the 28mm 1.8 (trying to learn this lens)

No tripod, I don’t like them so I almost never use them.

1/80 – f 1.8 – ISO 2000

Ice Light was my key light, no other light used.

I wrapped cardboard around the light to create a sliver of light to pay respect to the dramatic lighting in the great black and white films with my own spin on it.

God I love playing with light!

Another great shot… I love your work!   I was also surprised how good it looks at ISO 2000.  I’m pretty new to photography so I had to look up what an Ice light was… :-)

Thanks so much. I’m not real happy with the posing I had her do, that’s something I really need to work on. The Canon 5d3 and 6d really do have unbelievable noise control with their higher ISOs.

Sorry about that, I should have included a link.

Fantastic shot!
The camera is capable of great high ISO images and that is what I really like
about full frame. Unfortunately still out of my budget so it’s DX for me lol!
Hope to see more of your work in the future.
Dale.

Thanks so much. Oksana definitely put a great set of videos together to help me grasp all the missing areas of knowledge to build a good foundation.

The low light sets the mood and the shot is very sharp.
