Kultej, Different lenses are good for different things. As everybody said: wide angle is better for landscapes and architecture, because it will give you as much coverage as possible. But in a lot of cases it can give you more coverage then you wish and it also tend to give you a distortion. In some cases distortion works, in some it doesn’t. It is possible to fix distortion in post so. The best way to go about it (since you already bought it), is to go and try it out. Go and try to shoot different things, like landscape, architecture and even some portraits and see what you like or don’t like.
You can actually get very interesting photos with it, which will make viewer feel like he is almost a part of the scene.
It is a good lens to have in your bag for a certain situations, but it would not be my everyday lens so.
Also next time before buying the lens, you should think of what would be it purpose.
