Very nice, Victor.
I like it…. a lot.

The camera angle is very natural,
looking a bit off to the side rather than
straight down the walk path.

This is very nice photo, subject and composition with all the leading lines. My only concern is that building on the background which is a bit too bright and loosing details. If you shoot raw you could have darken it a bit and maybe this way bring some details back.

Good try, Mandrake. It would work ever better on a raw file.

Thanks all for the comments and compliments.
The camera that I’m using Sony DSC HX100V can only take JPEG image, Oksana, I’ll definitely take your advice and shoot raw when I have my new camera next time….. (My 2013 wish)
And thanks Mandrake for improving this photo, haha I can see more details in Fullerton Hotel now. :0

Mandrake are you using Topaz with photoshop in the retouch? or simple photohoping curves?

Victor… You are very welcome.
I really hope you do not mind my changing your photo.
I hesitate as I can understand why some would not want me to.
Do you have a camera in mind for your 2013 wish?

Silky… Nothing fancy, just PSE10.
I selected the building using quick select and then used enhance – adjust lighting – brightness/contrast.
I reduced the brightness and increased the contrast just a bit. Deselected and Save.
I do not use Topaz, only Lightroom and PSE.

Oksana… RAW is good. More RAW is better.

Really nice photo. And Mandrake threw in his personal touch to make it
even better! Sony is putting out some great cameras – I watched a few youtube
videos on the Nex6 and was really impressed. Love my Nikon but wouldn’t mind
a small Sony to go along with it.
Happy New Year and hopes for a peaceful and prosperous 2013 for everyone.

Dale… Yes, a camera to be with you all the time.
My, admittedly wavering, current choice: the Olympus OM-D E-M5.
Perhaps a belated Christmas gift to myself.

Thanks again josh for the compliment, I felt that those photos posted by the members here are also well taken and each have it own style and character, through this forum, whether good or mistake, we learn from one and other.
Mandrake….. it is alright to edit my photo, I’m great to see improvement in it, and will be more happy if u can turn my photo from normal to wow….lol.
Honestly speaking, I have very little knowledge of DSLR. They are so many brands and models in the market, I believe it is good for me to study more before I get one. As my wish of camera for 2013 is Canon 5D Mark III…( LoL..for time being)
