following the advice from the easy exposure video tutorial on photographing the moon i used the settings outlined to get this picture

Canon 500D with EF 75-300 1:4-5.6 lens ISO100 F16 1/125 MF (infinity) at 300mm

Good one! The moon is not easy (at least for me) to
get a good picture of but you have managed to get a
focused image with good definition to the craters.
Only question I have – do you know what caused the
thin green banding to the visible edge?

Nice image! I was wandering about green too. I think you can easily remove it by desaturating the photo. Moon is black and white anyway.

Very nice!

I’ve tried taking a photo of the moon with my EOS 1100D and a 200mm lens, but it didn’t really come out very well. I’m waiting for it to come around again to give it another go! :)

Chromatic aberration, maybe? Can be fixed easily in Lightroom.
