Took these pics just to see how the colours turned out with the exposure times.
The first is of our Parliament Buildings of course and they have added a little colour
to the lighting for Xmas. The second is of a bus turning the corner and the third is
of the street across from the Parliament Buildings. All shot at night obviously with
tripod.
The duck was shot in the daytime but it was in the shade so I figured what the hell,
throw it in as a filler.

All of the shots look great Dale.  I really like the third one with the lights, sky, and color of the trees.

The colors look great, Dale.
I particularly like those in the third shot.
Night time autumn colors…… Something you don’t see often.  Very nice.
The duck… another duck…  Nice duck, good color.

DSC_0705-1.jpgThe first and second shots need Lr’s Len’s Corrections help.
I tried with the first image which I’ve included above.
In the new Upright section I went to Basic>Auto.
Then a bit of fine tuning with the Rotate and Horizontal sliders under the Manual tab.

The camera is doing a fantastic job… The photographer as well.

Thanks guys – I’m having fun with the new camera – just wish it was a little warmer early morning
and evening around here but at least it’s not snowing…yet!
Mandrake – Thanks for the Lr corrections – I’m going to have to put the camera
away and get into figuring out Lr soon. I always appreciate when someone fixes a problem
I have with a pic and gives a description of how it was done.
I hate to tell you guys this but…the 3rd pic was taken with my d7000!!!
I took it a while ago and the lighting and colours were great for the shot.
I haven’t ruled out having the shutter replaced and using the 7000 as a backup
to my new camera.

As they say, it’s not the camera, it’s the photographer!

Thanks mscharff – a most welcome comment. My family thinks I’m a little light in the head
for going out at strange hours to take pictures, but, I thoroughly enjoy the look of the city
at night. You do meet some rather odd individuals but that’s part of the experience and
they’re usually just interested in what you’re taking pictures of. Getting a little cold lately
though up here so I may be taking a break from the night stuff for a while lol!
Dale.
