This was the first image I took this 4th of July. One of the roman candles got stock inside the tube and blow up on the ground as it should in the sky. I was lucky to capture it.

No one got hurt, thats why I called it close call.

A very cool shot!  I’d worry about setting them off with all the wires overhead, but that’s just me :-)

The wires are to the side of the street and we where setting the fireworks on the rode, they fly up to the sky and explode so there is no problem they don’t ever go near the power lines. Something went wrong and the shell got stock inside the tube and never flew up, it just exploded on the ground. This happened to me before a few years ago.
