Hello Joe…  Welcome to our group.  We are usually a friendly bunch and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Indeed, the photo is one where everything DID work out.
Composition, focus and depth of field…. all perfect, in my opinion.
Also, love how the texture and coloring of the bird, tree, and background compliment each other so well.
I’ve not known of the Common Redpoll before.  Thanks for the introduction.

Would like to know the extent of any post-processing you did with the image.

Thanks for the nice compliments 🙂 For this photo I used my Canon 75-300 mm lens. Just basic post processing in PS.

EF75-300mm f/4-5.6 300mm / ƒ/5.6 / 1/800s / ISO 800
