Here is a concert I shot last August. The noise is excessive and I was figuring out how to get the 50mm to focus on moving subjects for the first time so it isn’t tack sharp but I’m not overly disappointed. Processing completed in Photoshop.

Canon 350D (Rebel XT)
Canon 50mm 1.8
Shots varied 800-1600 ISO
Shutter speed of 60-125
F Stop 1.8-2.5

An excellent attempt during a difficult situation.
The first is ruined a bit by whatever is happening around the subject’s chin.
The second needs the musician’s face to make it meaningful.
I really do like the third. I would remove the distracting white spot at upper left, possibly by cropping just beneath it.
The fourth is excellent. I like his serious expression, color, and composition.
I would remove the drop of perspiration at the tip of his nose. The microphone? I’m not sure. lol

They really are good shots under not the best situation.
A few minor problems as Mandrake pointed out but for
a first attempt you did well.
Good work!
Dale.

The second needs the musician’s face to make it meaningful. – I’m curious to what others think, I felt not seeing his face focused on his hands to tell the story.
I really do like the third. I would remove the distracting white spot at upper left, possibly by cropping just beneath it. Good call, thanks.

Well done, considering situation, difficult light and all the things on the way. The second photo is actually my favorite. I like the mystery in this photo – the fog and that the face is coveret with hat. For some reason when I look at it, I think about Michel Jeckson, lol. Of course when you are shooting the concert, you want artist face on the picture, but as one of the multiple shoots, it is great.
