When photographing water drops is even the fastest shutter speed (1/4000 sec.) still too slow. In fact, the shutter speed does not matter much. The pictures were taken with a Nikon 55-200mm zoom lens zoomed to 200mm.  The diagragma is important for the DOF and was 32. The shutter speed 1/60 sec. The high shutter speeds are basically made by an external flash (Nikon SB910). The extremely short flash illuminate the picture in well at the right time. In total I made 325 pictures in a series of six in a row. The colors are inserted through Lightroom.

Great shots of the water droplets. Thanks for the explanation on shutter
speeds etc. to achieve these results.
Dale.
