This is my first post, so please be gentle. I am very new to photography and barely know the basics.

Attached are two pictures…one is the jpg right from the camera. the second one is the touched up in photoshop version (from the raw image).

Specs: f/8 1/60sec ISO80

Yes my car needs to be washed haha.

This is the original:

This is the edit:

Hello Brian.
Welcome to our growing group.
This is an interesting photo… The first of many, I hope, that you will be posting.
Not sure that I’ve seen one here from this perspective. Nice.
I trust the auto was not in motion when you took the picture.

Are you sure the top is the original and the bottom the edit?
I would have thought the other way around.
No matter… both are good.

I’ve heard a bit about the Canon SX50,
50X zoom. Goodness. I can imagine where that can take you.
Good luck with it.

Thanks Mandrake,

No the car was not in motion. I was in the parking lot at work, sitting in the driver seat, but zoomed into the mirror on the passenger side.

The top one is the original, and the bottom is the edit.

Yes there will be lots more pictures as I learn more of my camera and photography in general. While I want to learn as much as possible, I want to have fun with it. Going on vacation to Portugal later this year so I want to learn as much as I can for that.

Brian
Welcome to our group!
We have a good time and sometimes even pick
up a few pointers from each other in the meantime.
I like that you used a mirror to turn a fairly boring shot
into something a little different. Good imagination!
Hope to see lots of great pics in the future and don’t forget
to check our posts out and give us your views (and criticisms where necessary)!

I can tell that top photo is original and second is processed. Second photo is more contrasty and a bit more saturated.
