Here are a couple of recent shots.

The first was taken with Fuji Velvia 100, the second with Ilford Delta Pro 3200

Brian! I am so happy to have somebody here who still shoot film. It can’t find it too often any more!

The sunset on the first photo is just amazing!

Thanks Oksana.

There are two camera stores near me that sell and develop film, so I am quite fortunate.  It is expensive, but I like the results better.  Just me and my strange ways haha.

I use two film camera right now; Asahi Pentax SP500 (45 years old all manual) and Mamiya 645e medium format and I absolutely love it.

I still haven’t decided on which film is my favourite, as there are good and bad points to each film stock.

My friends joke with me that I am going backwards, going from digital back to film haha.

We have a few stores where I leave luckily too. I use to shoot film a lot when I was in photo school. Different kind: from regular 35mm to 4×5 sheets. I was expensive and always same kind of surprise. We were praying every time we had to pick it up (especially 4×5). We also developed film ourself. One time I used chemicals after first year students and they obviously put a wrong liquid in a wrong bottle. My film come out all purple. Since then I had all my own chemicals, lol.

So you did your own development?

I was thinking about doing that for black and white film.  I am just worried as I have three curious cats and they get into everything…and one will eat just about anything.  Nothing like seeing pieces of plastic bags in the litter box.  So I am worried about having chemicals like that in the house.

If I didn’t have the cats I would for sure.

Do you do film anymore, or are you strictly a lady of the digital age?
