A few shots I took yesterday early in the morning.
The weather is beautiful and the temperature (for my American neighbours)
is in the 70’s. We use celsius here – so it’s in the mid 20’s C in Victoria.
1st one in B&W just to be different. 2nd one is view across inner harbour, downtown Victoria.
3rd one is same area. 4th one is shot of our Parliament Buildings, and 5th shot is of
one of Undersea Gardens – a tourist attraction located in the inner harbour.

Loving that new lens, eh?
Sharp, sharp, sharp!
I see you’ve discovered the 18mm length as well.

Beautiful shots, Dale.
They make me want to buy a boat again.
At this stage in my life I’ll need a crew.

Mandrake/Sam
I really think this 18-55mm “kit lens” is as sharp as
any high priced “professional” lenses I have seen being
used by members of my photography group!
It has some distortion @ 18mm but I can partially correct
that in Lightroom so I can live with it. It is sharp, sharp, sharp!
I love this little lens and my 35mm prime. Two great (inexpensive)
lenses that can keep up with the big guys in picture quality as far
as I’m concerned.
Mandrake – go get a boat and an all female crew!!!

Melissa
Thanks – I just bought this 18-55 and for a cheap little
lens it can’t be beat.
