and snow capped mountains.

I like the background, and is it because of the snow…the image isn’t sharp?? Still its a memorable one to shoot at!!!Smile

Sam
Thanks for your thoughts. The image is soft
but this shot was taken through fog and although
it isn’t easily apparent it was fairly heavy fog. I wanted
to see how it would look with minimal “clean up” in
Lightroom and no additional sharpness added.
Always thinking about different ways to present an image lol!

An interesting photo, Dale. Most unusual.
The clouds, being beneath the mountain tops… it took me a second to figure out what was going on.
The fog was a fortunate happenstance…. or, did you order it from room service?
I am sooooooo happy you got the horizon straight.

Very nice shot. Mat it, frame it and hang it.

great shot Dale,
I did not have chance to capture the picture in snow area, therefore i don’t know how much difficulties to take the picture in the snow place.
Any way this picture is my favorite.

Horizon line can really ruin a pic if not straight!
Very important aspect of any photograph.
We get some strange weather here at this time
of the year and it makes for some interesting
pics. Thanks for all the input.
Dale.

Hi Dale.
We get a lot of fog here in the SF bay area, I mean A LOT of fog. I usually leave my camera in the bag on those days but after seeing this image of yours I may take it out and look for opportunities like this. Thanks for posting a great photo.

Thanks for the comments. You guys do get
a lot of fog around the bay area and I’ve seen
some incredible shots of fog surrounding the
Golden Gate Bridge. Foggy conditions are great
to add “mystery” to an image. Hope you take that
camera out of the bag and post some great pics
from the “foggy” bay area for us!!!

I like this image a lot! Great subject and composition! All those horizon lines, layers and textures. Fog and low contrast actually works for me in this case – it creates the mood.

Sometimes the weather just cooperates with what
we’re trying to take a picture of. More often than not
in my case its just a matter of luck but I’ll take it anyway
I can get it lol!
Oksana – Thanks for those comments. Much appreciated!!!

I’ll see if I still have the original, and if so, I’ll post it
but quite honestly there wasn’t much color to the shot
as it was such a grey, foggy day.
