MELANCHOLY CLOUDS
I took these images on a cloudy and rainy day. Whenever I see these photos, don’t know why? But I feel sad, and depressed deep inside me (May be it’s only for me)

Really beautiful, Sam. I like the first and last most.
All with dead straight horizons…. Thank you for that.
The middle photo confuses me as I can’t figure out what the object is.

The water in the last looks like a slow shutter speed, but I know it is not.
Perhaps it is the wide aperture (with resulting shallow dof) and your focus in the distance.
In any event.. the result is perfect.

These photos should make you happy as they are so beautiful.. no need to be depressed. :( :0 :)

Mandrake – I think your pics are great. Were they done using HDR?
Some of the best images I’ve seen have depicted the “darker” side
of life. Everything isn’t always sunshine and smiling faces.
Keep up the good work…Dale

Sam;
As Mandrake said the one in the midled is a litle confuse, always remember that for years people are educated in the third rules, if you cut a litle at righ then things are different. Particularly I personally don’t follow rules , I do what I want every photographer shall have its own stily , I had seem pictures from masters that are a rules disaster, but they had won fame first.
On concer to your filling on dark weather as ” But I feel sad, and depressed deep inside me” is normal remember that when God made Day and think it was good, then made the oposed with claud dark days.
I like all it allow me to know about the climate there.

Good pics

Thanks everyone. I took the middle photo from a dam. The building you see is the pump house which pumps water to the power station.

Yes the shutter speed is 640. If you look at the picture closely you can still see small waves. There was only light wind. Except that it was really calm.

Nice photos Sam! The first one is my favorite. I do prefer for horizon to be not in the middle. I also like some color in the first picture and the diagonal line of the shore.

Sam
Really nice shots. I do agree that the first one steals the show for me
with the added color but they were all thought out before pressing the
shutter.
Good work. Dale

Great pic…The 2nd pic perhaps it will be a lot better if it was taken from the begining of the bridge facing towards the pump house..Just a thought that is…

Sam
Great shots! When I posted my comment and referred to Mandrake of course
I meant you but I was reading his previous comment and printed his name in.
Sorry about that. Mandrake has taken some great pics but you deserve the compliments
for this post lol!
