Scary!

I assume that you were on foot.

Is that a lake in the first two shots and villages in the last?

Thanks my friends.

Mandrake, that is a lake. I was climbing further 1000 meter up from there.Of course, the situation was not scary, but filled with fun and excitements.  hope you all enjoyed the shots.

The last one is not a village, its our final camp, fixed temporarily.

In the far distance, in the valley, there are two groups of multicolored pixels.
It is these that I thought might be villages.

Could you tell us where, exactly, these were taken and the name of the lake, if you know.

Excellent shots. But as Mandrake put it, ridiculously scary!!! I abhor heights and allergic to anything flying including planes. I just cant stand heightsCry

Mandrake,

both multicoloured tents are temp shelters, and the last village on this route is 29 kms behind.

Location is as follows:-

country:  India (Northern India)

State: Himachal Pradesh

The distance from the last Motorable road to the lake is  29 kms from the lake (steep is almost 78 degree), one of the toughest trekking route in the world.

Lake name: Nain Sarowar

GPS co-ordinates: N 31.38.151

                        E. 77.38.656

Lake position Altitude: 4363 meter

Oksana,

thanks for your comment!!

Appreciated for your time to review these photos.

Certainly your comment has boosted me to climb another 1000 meter up on the mountains and take photos on my next trip.
