Thank you for sharing this with us.  I have been wanting to see an 85mm in action :)   I have been debating over that or a 50mm.  I have a 35mm and want 2 other prime lenses.  I want one above and one below my 35mm.  How far away from Garrett where you?

the picture is taken from a good distance away… maybe 30 feet, but the picture is cropped… below is the original… I love this lens… I’ve posted a few other photos with that lens as well…original.jpg

The waterfall photos are good examples of what different shutter speeds will do with moving water.  Good job with these.

I find the first puzzling with respect to the faded sign and how it relates in time to the windows.  It appears the the windows were installed through the wall at a point in time after the sign was painted.  Do you know if this is the case?

The 85mm gives great dof at f/2.8 and is obviously very sharp.

Yes Mandrake, they are new windows and a new fire escape… I was just taking pictures of what I saw on a trip to downtown Greenville…

I like the first and the second shot…

I do like the B/W shots and the first one suits perfectly!

Focus in the second shot is amazing…
