They’re a little bland – need more colour!!!
I think you know that I’m kidding on that.
I really like them but the second one especially
seems a little over the top on saturation.
By the way you do know that if Mandrake sees these
pics he will be chewing on you for the horizon lines.
Just a heads up.
Nice shots.
Dale.

I can only agree with Dale.
a little too much saturation – clouds are violet (pink?)

Josh
Can I give you some advice that you and everyone else can
either agree with or trash.
Either way I don’t care but I’m going to give it to you anyways.
I think the more we try to impress by overcompensating aspects
of a scene the more we lose the visual impact of what we are intending
to portray. Visual impact draws me into the scene and thats where I want
to be. Honestly – I am not a fan of HDR and I see members of my photography
club using it all the time. I would rather back off on colours and see the image
presented in true form than looking for the “wow”factor through intense colours.
Get the “wow”factor through great true to life images and a love of photography.
That’s my opinion.

On a positive note – after again looking at these images I
do love the colours of the kites etc. but wish the sky tones
were a little more subdued.
We all see the world differently and that’s a good thing.
I think I am just oversaturated with intense colours in images
right now.
Maybe I should crank up the colour in my camera and post
processing to see what happens lol.
Dale.

Ok – I did an hour in the corner to repent.
Thank God for cold Heinekens to get me through
that ordeal!!!
My comments were really aimed at everyone who
is now into HDR and really Josh – your images are quite
tame compared to what I have been subjected to lately!
Time to go back to the corner now – there’s still a couple of
cold ones to finish!
Dale.
