bella-6.jpgIts been a long time since I have been on here so here is my contribution to landscape photos.  Bluebonnets grow wild in the State of Texas and they are absolutely beautiful.  I have lived in Texas most of my life and have only admired the beauty as I would be driving down the highway.  This season was different.  I wanted to find a field of bluebonnets out in the country so I could get up close and personal with them.  We found this place in a little town called Bristol, TX.  (yes, we had to crawl through the barbed wire fence but it was worth it.  It was just at the end of the day when the sun was going down.  The lighting was perfect, the weather was perfect and the aroma of the flowers were amazing.  I am grateful that I am able to share this experience through my photography.  SOOC

Hello Shannon… we have missed you.

This is a very beautiful photograph.  I absolutely love the the way you have captured the expansive field with the framing of the tree branches and the fence.  The afternoon sun (or is it morning? – no matter) is appropriately blinding to make the viewer feel as if he were there, and not just simply looking at your photograph.

Excellent subject selection and composition.

I note that you have used photoshop during post, although I do not know to what extent.  No matter, with this photo it is the camera location and composition that is important.  I did want to see what I could do with Lightroom.  I took the liberty of playing a bit and came up with this.  I truly hope that you do not mind.  I could not resist.

I used photoshop for the stroke.  I had many of this series and I am almost for certain that this is one I didn’t enhance in PS.  Very nice lightening and sharpening you did in LR. :)
