Hello, I am Michel from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. I’m an oldy I think here, I’m 57 years old, merried and has a wife and two daughters. For my work I am a Optician and contactlens-specialist.

In the early years I have a Fuji AZ-1 with several lenses (zoomlens, wide-angle, and fish-eye) and photography was a big hobby of mine.

I had also a dark-room for developing color pictures. But that’s over now.  Since this year I have a digital camera (Nikon D3200) with two lenses, a 28-55mm Nikon and a 55-200mm Nikon lens, Adobe Lightroom and I want to by a Nikon SB 700.

Again photography begins his second life as a hobby.

So this is me in a very short overlay.

Hello Michel….. welcome to our group.  Yes, I suppose 57 does qualify you as among the older of us here, but………… I am 72, which makes you a youngster.

At one point, way back when, I also had a Fuji 35mm film camera and did a bit of dark room work as well.  It’s great to see that you have a renewed interest in the hobby and I think your equipment will be more than sufficient to get you on your way.

I was in Amsterdam in 1960 and remember it as a beautiful city.  We look forward to seeing photos of your part of the Netherlands and Rotterdam in particular.

Again… Welcome.

Hi Michel!

Welcome to the forum! We are happy to have you here.

I lived in the Netherlands for a year (by Maastricht) and also visited Rotterdam. It is a beautiful country! A lot of things to photograph. I wish I could go back one day with my big camera (at that time I only have a point and shoot).

We are looking forward to some of your photos!

Oksana
