I took this image at my grandson’s track meet, I got down low the get him as he got on his mark. The image is a little noisy as it was very cloudy and nearing sunset I had to bump my ISO up to 400.On-your-mark.jpg

I’m surprised there is that much noise with an ISO of 400…

Great shot.. love the perspective.
Would even be better if you could clean it up in post.

I agree, but it was very cloudy and just about sunset and it was a long wide shot, the runner is my grandson I cropped in to isolate him and with the light conditions and lighting it in post left a lot of noise and artifacts. I worked at getting them out even using Topaz Denoise but the result was very much like an oil painting. Guess next time I have to use a longer lens so I don’t have to crop.

Very good shot. A slightly lower F-stop (wider aperture) would have helped put  the visual weight even more on the subject and allowed a higher shutter speed/ or lower ISO. Regardless ,  framing and low angle makes this shot great.

I must agree! Very cook image. Framing, depth, leading lines. It tells the story. Despite all the noise it is still a great image.
