Welcome to a new Easy Exposure Photo Forum! I hope you will enjoy new features. It is still work in progress, so please be patients. Thanks!
Hello all,
I took these two photos in a studio using the standard available environment lights. All equipments there was Canon and I was the only Nikon, so I had to do with what I have. I did not use a flash.
As usual, comments/critics are welcomed. It helps me to improve. Exifs are as follows:
First Photo: F/5.6 – 1.2 sec. – ISO-100
Second Photo: F/4.5 – 1/5 sec. – ISO-200
Third Photo: F/1.8 – 1/60 sec. – ISO-100

I’m guessing these were taken in a classroom environment, perhaps with other photographers also taking photographs.
Did you have any control over her posing or the backgrounds for the shooting?
Of the three, I like the first the best, but I’m always attracted to a flirtatious look and a bit of leg.
I’d not use wrinkled cloth for my background.
The poses could be better. In the first her upper arm is distorted,
in the second she appears ready to give you a piece of her mind,
and in the third she is about to be attacked.
It must have been fun… I do envy you.

I tried to use “quote”to reply but it did not work for some odd reasons, so responding directly
Mandarake, you go it right on the scene part. The whole setup consisted (lights, remote etc) was for Canon. With my little D3200, I was on the side and waiting .
It was indeed real fun and enjoyed every bit.
Mscharff – No I did not add noise.
I will post something else later, outdoor shoot, different model.
Have a great day
Rachid
Rachid, Are you sure about camera settings you posted. It looks more like higher ISO and faster shutter speed then 1.2 sec. With 100 ISO you would not have so much noise and at shutter speed 1.2 sec I would expect much more camera shake or motion blur.
By the poses, I could tell that this girl wasn’t a pro model, just somebody they asked to model for a class. With a model who know what to do + good light it is hard to miss a good shoot. But this makes it more interesting, challenging and useful, because how often will you photograph pro models. Did they let you to control her poses or she just posed and everybody just took pictures?
I am looking forward to see outdoor shoot.

Hi Oksana and thank you for the comments. Really appreciate them. I had no control on the model and it is my very first time that I was shooting in these conditions. I tried to avoid using the built-in flash. My camera was not connected to any of the other flash and lightings. They were all Canon equipment.
The noise must have come from post processing, I guess. The camera settings are correct.
Outdoor shooting coming right up in a different post.
