Erwin….
Love it. I’m hoping the shot was candid and not posed. The low hanging branch is hiding the photographer, which is great. The shot is a bit soft, but this goes well with the theme.

I experimented by cloning out the path with the surrounding grass as I thought it might be a distraction. I like it better as is, with the path. It tells a story of the girl walking off the path, perhaps to relax and text with a friend.

Details show your shutter speed at 1/1600 with an ISO of 800. Obviously, you could have halved both, but don’t see noise as a problem.

How do you like the 50mm lens. I’m guessing that it’s the 1.4. I’m thinking of either the 1.4 or 1.8 for my D5100.
Also thinking of a D600 or 800 and, of course, that delays any lens decisions. Oh well.

Again, nice shot. Mandrake

Hi Mandrake thanks, I was just walking across when I saw this girl, in fact this is some sort of a street photography I think, that is why I bumped up the ISO coz I need to take the shot fast coz I dont want to be caught in the act lol, 50mm is really good what I have is the 1.8G, for a beginner this is very affordable and if you are good with manual focusing the 50mm 1.8D is a lot better.

1.8G, really? The details of the file says “max aperture 1.6”. I really don’t know what that means with a 1.8 lens. More stuff to learn. I’m getting a headache.

I’ll stick with the G. The D would be too tough for quick shots.

Yes you are right D will be very difficult to take photo of kids it would be like hunting a bird in flight lol, otherwise raise your apperture which will reduce the bokeh effect.
