Nice shoes.  I used to have a pair just like them in high school.
Penny Loafers.

They were called Penny Loafers because you put pennies in a slot that was on the top of the shoes.
When I got rich I put $5.00 gold pieces in the slots.
I got mugged.

The white is better.

Intekhab, I like the color version because it allows the the subject to

An interesting observation, Sailor.  You are right and I had not noticed this before.
It may also be that the second photo has a bit more contrast.
