Love this photo. Great idea, perfect moment, nice composition and beautiful color. When I was a kid we always would make a wish before blowing this flower off. Can I say “blowing the flower off”?

Thanks Oksana! I always say: as soon as we stop dreaming, we start dying… This little girl is ten years old, lives in a mudhouse in one of the worst slums we know and we are trying to help her to dream her own dreams. Actually I’m starting to teach her how to take pictures and it seems that she likes it! I want to pass on the things you tought me. So you see Oksana, the gift that you gave just keeps on giving, thank you so much for that :)

For me this was one of the first try-outs to use the speedburst on my 70D (7 shots a second) and it worked out fine! I tried out some birds too, but they move way too fast, ha, ha! Blowing the flower off? I really don’t know the expression they use in english for that, but I know what you mean :)

I love this picture.  I have tried to take a similar one and failed miserably.  Now seeing yours I am inspired to try again.  When the snow melts.

Thanks Michael and Brian! It’s always exiting to see that a picture works out fine, but you guys didn’t see the many ones in which I failed :) I guess it’s the continuing challenge to get the perfect shot that keeps us going. And I know I have a long way to go still…

I will Oksana, and yes, that is what I hope too, she is very special to us! And you know what? Sometimes, if a child like her is too shy or just too scared to even think about dreaming… we can dream for them :)

I just added some saturation with a slight fade-out to the left.
