a day out at a local park. I just recently started to pick up the camera, and this day was my first attempt at making an attempt at portrait shots

Hello Brian… Welcome.

I hope you enjoy the group and we do look forward to seeing your photos.

These are quite good.  Nice composition and color.

The “little guy” definately looks like your wife.

Your camera details are not included in the property files of your images, so I can not

comment on your camera settings.  What camera are you using?

Thanks Mandrake! don’t let my wife see that, she’ll never live it down lol! I must have lost the photo properties when I shrunk them down -.-

this day I had my Sony dsc-r1 10.3mp, 24-120mm. I’ll have to find my originals later when I can access my main pc. The only setting I know was constant was 100iso.  Much more forthcoming :)

The Sony dsc-r1 with the 24-120mm lens…. To be honest, I never heard of this fixed lens camera.

I did some research and discovered it is one nice little package and the lens is superb.

I’ve read that if you take the time and work necessary to shoot in raw, the effort is well rewarded.

I look forward to seeing what else it (and you) can do.

Pic 2:

F-Stop: f/2.8

Exposure Time: 1/800

ISO: 160

Focal Length: 14mm

Pic 3:

F-Stop: f/5

Exposure Time: 1/200

As I re-read my prior post, I noticed I managed to enter ISO100 instead of 160…typo on my part.

I like the 2nd shot and the last shot…

The child is really cute and the composition is good.

Great shots…
