I am new to the world of photography…i clicked some portraits in my son’s Halloween party. I have done the most basic editings in the portraits. I am willing to learn more about portrait photography. Any tips, suggestion on these pics are welcome. Also can we have a tutorial for taking portraits and editing them in photoshop/picasa.

Thanks and Regards,

I just noticed the unclipped clip-on tie in number 7.
Now this is one cool kid.

Some nice portraits. Especially considering that you are new to photography. Good shallow depth of field. The things I would watch for is the crop. General rule is not to crop the joints. Dumple four example do not cross the feet of. Watch what is in the background. You do not want nothing to merge out off your subject to be a distraction. The common mistake is trees growing out of the persons head, lol. Luckily you do not have that one ;) but you do have a Spiderman growing out of the pirate, lol. Also think where is the best to apply the rule of thirds. It would probably work great on number 10.
