Nikon D5100, 300mm, spot metering, f/8, 1/4000 sec., -3step, ISO-1600, no flash(lol)

I know that there are numerous ways that I could have reduced the ISO, but I tried various combinations of settings and this photo came out the best. The shot was hand held. Next month I’ll use the tripod.

wizpc1’s moon is full, Mandrake’s moon is just starting to disappear (it gets darker from one side). Just found this: http://www.sunmoonscope.com/ . It tells you in which phase is the moon on which day.

This is fun too: http://photoephemeris.com/, if you know how to use it. It will tell you exact sun and moon position in a particular time.

Some good stuff! will have to play with it a bit when I get a few extra minutes.
Hopefully in next couple of weeks I will be able to get adapter I need for my telescope. : )
Any tips or suggestions on that, would be helpful.

Very cool Mandrake!
I just ordered my adapter for my telescope, so hopefully I’ll be bringing some decent astro photos soon.
