Hi,

This picture was taking in Germany during the X-mass period. Cologne is a verry beautifull city with lots of subjects all arround. Hope you like it.

Nikon D7000
ISO / 100
f / 5.6
Shutterspeed / 4s

Hello Jimmy. Welcome.

I do like the photo.
It immediately reminded me of the many Renoir street scenes of Paris.
I know Germany, (at least as it was) having spent two years there with the U.S. Army. (63-65)

I have visited your web site and wish you all the best with your graphic arts business.
the Aquarelle Ballerina is quite beautiful and truly original in it’s concept.

Again… Welcome. We look forward to seeing your work.

Mandrake.

Hi Jimmy
I’ll echo Mandrakes statement and welcome you to our humble and very diversified
group.
Love your choice in cameras lol. I use a D7000 too!
The slow shutter speed adds (to me at least) an interesting foreground blur of movement.
Did you try any shots with the ISO bumped up and faster shutter speed? The new Nikons
can really handle higher shutter speeds quite well and it might be an interesting option.
Hope to see lots more great pics from you in the future.
Dale

Meant to say “the new Nikon’s can really handle higher ISO speeds” not shutter speeds lol.
It’s early here and my mind is still trying to kick into gear!

Welcome to the forum, Jimmy! I lived in Germany (in Munich) for a year . I also visited Cologne for a carnival. Very beautiful city! Here is my photo from Cologne carnival from about 10 years ago. It brings a lot of memories. I had a really great time.

Thank you for all your kind words. I will keep posting pictures and give comments on forum posts in the future.

@Nikonguy i tried to bump the iso but i always like it to be at 100 to reduce as much noise as possible.
@Mandrake thanks for visiting my portfolio,to bad i don’t really keep it updated because lack of time.
@Oxana I live in Belgium but its great because its the center of Europe. Paris = 2hours , London = 2hours, Cologne = 1h , Amsterdam =2h , Brussels =1h. USA = 14hours :)

I lived in Belgium too, LOL. On the border with Holland by Maastricht. I was riding the bike to the city all the time. It is so funny. It took me like 10 min by bike to cross the border.

I live near the border but in a city called Lommel close to Valkenswaard border. You lived everywhere? :)
