Interesting… I don’t remember ever seeing brown ducks.
I checked it out and think that these are Mallards. Was mommy around?

Sam – thanks – that’s what I do like
about telephoto lenses…the ability to really
throw the background out of focus and create
a pleasing effect. Have to admit that images were
cropped although not drastically.
Mandrake – The dark brown ducks are quite rare around
here. Mom was VERY close at all times.
Ducklings just starting to appear but within no time the park
will be overrun with the little buggers lol.
Looking forward to 3rd week in May – Annual Swiftsure yacht
race starts and ends in Victoria – great photo opportunities so hope
the weather behaves for that one.
