Finally got my 35mm lens back after repairs
so gave it a try at an aquarium display.
All taken with Nikon D7000 @ 400 ISO
Post processing in Lightroom 4

Sildy
Thanks for the comments. I used 400 ISO so I could also
use a little faster shutter speed because of the movement.
If I would have chose a lower ISO the shutter speed would
have been so low that everything would start to become a blur
resulting in a poor result.

Dale… Perhaps a bit more aggressive with LR4 than I should be. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

This is nice! Love the darkness of the background, how the creatures stand out and that you can see all the details. Did you shot it through the glass? Did you use any filters?

I like how you bring out the colors, Mandrake. But I think it has a bit too much sharpening.

Thank you Oksana – I only use a UV filter to protect the lens.
Yes I did shoot through the glass with the lens against it to
reduce any glare and reflections. And please keep helping us all
with your youtube videos – you are the best!
Mandrake – I think somewhere in between your image and
mine would be a nice compromise.
Merry Christmas to everyone…Dale

On a serious note – My family and all Canadians express
our sincere sympathy to the families and relatives of those
precious children and adults lost to another senseless act
of terrorism committed by an unstable individual.
We pray for a better future.

Oh, Nikonguy! Things like this make no sense to me what so ever. Why people can’t just be in piece? Why do their do such a horrible things?

Oksana
The time has come for strong restrictions on possession of weapons.
We have problems here in Canada but not yet equal to the violence
in the USA. One of the little girls that was brutally murdered lived with
her family in Canada for 3 years before moving to Connecticut – this senseless
act has touched us all and it is time to put an end to this.
It becomes very difficult to say “Merry Christmas” but I do wish you all a
Merry Christmas and hope and pray for a better and MUCH safer 2013.

Thanks Sam.
Wish I would have taken up this hobby years ago.
I find real enjoyment in photography.
It’s also a laugh to post images to see if Mandrake
puts his personal spin on them! He usually has something
to say or another way of presenting our pics lol.
