The jellies were having a nice time but the old cod
looked like he was having a bad day.

Truly impressive, Dale.
These are beautiful.
I assume some post in Lightroom and a bit of crop.

The cod looks like someone I know.
Oh… yeah…. me.

Mandrake/Sam
Appreciate the comments. The pics were “tweaked” in Lightroom
and slightly cropped. Not much need for heavy cropping when the
camera lens is against the glass and the animal is about a foot away.
My wife said the old cod was me on Monday morning before work.
I didn’t take offence – I look much more miserable on Monday mornings
before work!!!Frown
Dale.

Very cool set of photos! I like colors, sharpness and post processing. The only think I would maybe change is composition by moving the subjects a bit of center. Well dome overall! They almost look like cartoon.

Thanks for the comments Rudi.
I’ve found (through lots of mistakes lol) that the best way
to get decent pictures through glass is to carefully place
the lens directly on the glass surface and then take the picture.
This (usually) eliminates smudges and reflections. The subject
does have to be far enough away to properly focus but usually
that isn’t a problem.
Glad you all liked the pics.Smile

Excellent Pics mate, great sharpness and colou
I’ll have to check out our zoo one day, soon, haven’t been there yet with my D700 and lenses.
I have to pick a day when no one in my family is available (including wife) as it gets annoying when all I hear
is hurry up, can’t you “click” faster, do you have to change lenses, I can’t look after the kids on my own
and hold johnny while I change jane’s nappy etc etc etc … LMAO ….
Oh well, the pleasures of Grandparents …whew .. lol

Any well done again Nikonguy.

You’re not related to “Thatnikonguy” on Youtube are you? … lol

Ian
Appreciate the comments!
Hope to see some great zoo pics one day. The Nikon D700 is a
fantastic camera and with an assortment of lenses to go with it
you should be posting some really nice pics! Hear what you’re saying
about the family tagging along too lol. It doesn’t work – I’ve done that
and I know exactly what you’re saying believe me.
NOT related to That Nikon Guy. Purely a coincidence that I chose the name
and had a good laugh when I looked him up on Youtube. He does do some
good reviews though.
Thx again for the comments and looking forward to some cool zoo pics.
