took camera out for a test run practice tbh honest i forgot everthing ive learned about exposure and everything when i was out there so im lucky 3 out of the 100 pics i took even turned out half decent .

i used to hunt a few years back but gave it up as getting older made me not want to hurt animals anymore but i got a similar buzz out of this without hurting anything so might be another hobbie in there somewhere .

input welcome , really amazed with this camera .

cant remeber any settings i had too busy enjoing myself lol , but it was my first run out , struggled with focus all the time i was out it was hot or miss i could see what i was trying to focus on but just watched the vid on this and practiced a bit on camera indoors so ill try again tomorrow and also when i was on long zoom or zoomed in i struggled to keep image steady but ill practice more probably better with tripod .

fujiowner
Welcome to the forum.
Hope we can see many posts from you soon!
The 1st & 3rd pic are nice and sharp but the second
one is a little soft. Most of us post at 800×600 or larger.
You should check out Oksana’s instructional videos. They
are very informative and easy to follow. I have watched them
all and have been very impressed at how she presents the
information.
Again – welcome to our group – and keep posting pics for
us to enjoy.

Not to worry, fuji, things will settle down.
These three are quite nice for your first day.

With automatic focusing… just hold the shutter button half-way down
until you hear the beep. You are then in focus and can push the button
all the way down to take the shot. It’s important not to just press it all the
way down before you know you have focus.

I would start with the camera in Auto Mode and when you reach the point
where you are getting good photos then think about the other modes that
your camera offers.

Good luck to you.

Dale… These files are hosted. Clicking on the small photos brings you to the much larger images
at the hosting site.
