You guys don’t know what you’re missing… The snow is usually a lot of fun and very beautiful.
The shoveling keeps you in shape and is a good excuse for a body warming brandy when you’re done.

But I do know what I’m missing…  grew up in NJ and went to grad school at Syracuse University…  I’ll stay where I am :-)

My experience has been hard breathing, chest pains and a sore back.  Plus I don’t drink anymore.  So yeah, I have had enough of it.

It does look beautiful though.

Well…… What you do is hire someone to shovel the snow.
What you don’t do is…………………. stop drinking.
No problemo.

We used to do that, now I have a snowblower which is freakin’ awesome.

As for drinking…I took the Pratimoksha Buddhist vows, so alcohol is a no-no now.  Not gonna lie though, I miss my single malt scotch.

I took a couple of vows.
1. Don’t gamble more than you can afford to lose.
2. Always have a few cold ones in the fridge.
I live by those simple rules and life is good.

The snow mostly melted yesterday.  And now 12 hours later (and another 6 inches) …

I see two things happening in your past:
Once, maybe twice, you gambled more than you could afford to lose.
Once, maybe twice, you opened the fridge to discover that there was no beer.

Brian… Would it not be a good idea to park the car in carport?

I’ve just read that for my area “there is a 30 percent chance of up to six inches of snow on Monday.”
Now, what the hell does that mean?
