Great color, Al. Both the flower and it’s background.

and…….. A very classy logo, if I haven’t mentioned that before.
Sometimes I am conveniently forgetful.

Nice shot with rich colours and clarity.

I find it hard to get to get this colour right when I take pics

of flowers like this but you’ve nailed it perfectly!

Uncluttered background also adds to the pleasing effect.

Dale.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I’m very happy you enjoyed the photograph as much as I did.

Mandrake,

The dark gray background is actually the asphalt on the road and the light color background is the concrete on the island. I’m glad you like my logo. I think you might have mentioned it once before. Don’t exactly remember, my mind fails me at times too.  🙂

Mscharff,

Thank you, I’m glad you like it.

Nikonguy ,

I used a circular polarizing filter and flash gun. The Cir Polar filter removes a lot of glare and enhances the color of foliage. The flash was used with a small defusing plastic tab that comes with the filter. It created a soft light and diminished the shadows on the left side of the flower. My advice is to use a polarizing filter, it will make the colors pop.

Love, Monkey
