Took these pictures of flowers backlit by the sun.
Picture#1 Canon Rebel xsi 70-300mm @ 165mm F7 1/320sec handheld no flash.
Picture#2 Canon Rebel xsi 70-300mm @ 300mm F8 1/400sec handheld no flash.
Picture#3 NikonD7000 35mm 1.8 @ f6.3 1/400sec handheld no flash.
All above taken @ ISO 100 in bright sun using auto WB with post processing in Lightroom.

Fantastic shots… I am out to find some flowers with the sun behind them.
Truly amazing how you managed to get the second and third photos so alike using different cameras and settings!!!!!

Very nice, especially the second one. I like how the flowers go up and down and that two flowers are separate from others. It kind of reminds me crowd of people. I like photos what tell the story (even if it just flowers) and make your imagination spin around. Backlight is beautiful too! Did you make background black in post?

I’ve never looked at those flowers and saw them as people.
I really like that comment and will see things differently from now
on.
Yes, I started with a simple row of tulips with a fairly dark and uncluttered
background and with a little manipulation in Lightroom I was able to really
separate the color and darken the background.
Sorry about the duplicate image – hanging my head in shame for such a
stupid mistake lol!
