Athirappilly is popular among tourists. This water fall is one of the best spot to visit in Kerala. Athirappilly Falls is approximately 1000 ft above sea level on the Chalakudy river.
This was captured with less shutter speed (without tripod) to get the milky water effect ie. 1/6, f/22 and iso 100

Mandrake – In some instances water looks great when taken at a normal shutter speed
but, when rapids or waterfalls etc. are involved most photographers do like to slow the shutter
speed down to achieve a softer effect. Thats why photographers add neutral density filters and
take long exposures of water on sunny days. It just gives a surreal effect and to some it adds to
the artistic quality of the image. I personally think it creates a pleasing effect but you would rather
see the water portrayed as it naturally occurs and that is absolutely your right to photograph it that way.
Now, go out and take some cool shots of water to post so we can all enjoy them OK!

A great shot, particularly with such a slow shutter speed… I’d probably remove that line going across the bottom, but other than that, a great photo!!
Thanks a lot Mr. Michael for comment & suggestion, its little old photo which I took in my last vocation in india, Also I shoot with JPEG only.
