Great shot. From the middle of it I would say it’s a poppy.
We have lots of them up here and they look very similar
in close-up shots.

Mandrake – On closer examination it could be a rose. I was wrong about
any connection with a poppy and the only ones we are aware of in Canada
are the paper type we wear on our lapels to celebrate Remembrance Day 
in honour of our veterans.
As Rob Ford would say “sorry booot that”…my mistake lol!
