Taking Oksana up on her idea of starting a topic where members guess the location of the shoot.
Here is my first contribution.  Can you guess where I took these photos some years ago.
(I loved this camera, all 2 megapixels of it.)

When going back to these old photos I found these of my office just before my retirement.
Brought back memories… for sure.
It was an easy walk to the “guess the place” pics above.

I created the new section for it, Mandrake. It is Photography Destination -> Guess the Place forum. I moved you topic there.

OK – My guess is that you were taking pictures of the tall ships in New York harbour back
in the ’90’s and the Brooklyn Bridge is visible in 1st and 3rd shots.
Nice Orca pic in your office by the way!
Great memories of fishing up here and watching them early in the morning coming right
up to our boats. Nothing like whale spray in your face @ 6AM lol!
Dale.

Yes, it is New York and yes, it is the Brooklyn Bridge.
The date was 08/05/02 and the ship is the Danish training vessel Danmark.
She was docked at the South Street Seaport in downtown Manhattan where I took the photo.
My office was on Exchange Place in the financial district, a short distance from 9/11 Ground Zero.

(Click on the links if you like and enjoy the Virtual Tour of the Danmark, your knowledge of Danish notwithstanding.)
